Logistics and Safety Chair Phil Stinchcomb suggests... Plan ahead to use a satellite parking lot and ride the shuttle buses to the festival site
The designated RivahFest lots are:
To the North of town approaching from Fredericksburg: Tappahannock Elementary School on the left as you enter town.
From the South and East approaching from Richmond and Saluda - the area near Roma’s Restaurant / Peebles in the Tappahannock Town Center.
All-day parking with free shuttle service between 10 am and 8 pm. Handicap-accessible shuttles will run from 10 am to 6 pm from all lots as well.
Only credentialed vendors and RivahFest staff with official permits will be allowed to park in the immediate vicinity of the event.
To provide for attendees’ safety and to facilitate traffic flow across the Downing Bridge and around the RivahFest area, the following streets will be closed as of 6 pm on Friday: Prince Street between Church Lane and the Rappahannock River, Water Lane between Queen and Wright Streets, and Virginia Street between Water Lane and Church Lane. Most streets will be reopened to traffic after 9 pm on Saturday, with the exception of the main stage area at Water and Prince Streets, which will take longer to disassemble and not be available to regular traffic until Monday.
