Welcome Message from Roy Gladding
Mayor of Tappahannock

On behalf of the citizens of Tappahannock, let me welcome you and say that we look forward to seeing you at RivahFest 2016. Following twelve years of successful events we are sure this year's thirteenth RivahFest will be greater than ever.

Tappahannock is proud of its history and quality of life. Our downtown area, with well preserved buildings dating to the early 1700's, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. And nothing could be better for your health and lifestyle than small-town living on the Rappahannock River, with lots of fresh air and relaxing water views.

A short drive from Richmond and Washington, Tappahannock is a great place for a day trip or weekend getaway. Join us, and the many others who plan to visit Tappahannock for Rivahfest. Come and experience small-town charm in a place that has been making history since 1608.

Yours in Service
Roy M. Gladding
